I am always amazed at the people who don’t know that they should say “excuse me” when they pass in front of another person at close proximity.

I cannot count the number of times that I have been waiting in line someplace, or in the store looking for an item, or sitting down watching a movie and someone passes in front of me and doesn’t feel the need to pardon him or herself.

Simply put, this is rude!! Especially if you pass close enough to a person to touch them.

This is a very simple thing and yet so many people don’t care to, or don’t want to just open up their mouths and say it, “excuse me.”

It is truly the smallest civilities that help make our everyday goings and comings more tolerable. Considering that we all have to live here together, the least we can do is make living in this world a more pleasant existence.

The next time you find yourself invading another person’s space, even in passing. Do the nice thing, say, “excuse me.” You never know, it might just make that person’s day.
