Organizing Tip #1 Utility Space

Utility spaces can, at the very least, be a pain in the neck. At their worse, they can be a source of clutter and chaos, making getting anything done nearly impossible. But organizing these spaces doesn’t have to be very difficult, or even time consuming.
Most often these very narrow spaces, usually between a kitchen and garage, or the hallway that leads to the pantry, consist of the things that no one else is supposed to see unless they are being used or discarded.
The key to achieving a clean, uncluttered, organized appearance is to “think up” or get stuff up off the floor.

By simply using basic metal picture hangers and wire, the broom, mop, dusters, fly swatters, and even the dust pan can be neatly attached to the wall up high, providing open passage between your kitchen and garage and keeping the entry to your pantry free and clear. Tucking the mop bucket under the kitchen sink, hidden away will ensure that there is nothing on the floor but the trash can.

Now both the trash and the pantry are easily accessed, and as an added bonus, hanging the mops allows for proper drying and lengthens the lifetime of your cleaning tools. It is not only practical, clean, and organized, but most importantly, it just looks right.
